Oh believe me, they are not listening.. BECAUSE they have already HEARD. It won't be seen for a while (a long while) though. If the G45 is released, The G35 would probably have to be discontinued (the G20 got discounted in 2002 while the G35 made its entrance starting in 03). Why would Infiniti do that now when the G35 is so hot, so hot that is the 2003 car of the year.

Why V8 when you can get a supercharger that will pump out over 400hp? I am sure they can tune out a reliable supercharger for at least 350hp easy. Even NA tune with header, exhaust, Chip and plenum can get you 320hp. Why go V8, increase the weight further, mess up the weight distribution, and kill gas milage?

Actually, there's a great chance that the G45 would totally fail, hence the V8'z from Japan, and since our G35's are discontinued, our car's value would boost rather significantly.

Oh, and wouldn't you agree the M5 engine is hot? So is the new engine on the new 545, 645 and 745, which is 4.4L V8 if I'm not mistaken. What about the AMG 5.0L V8 found on CLK55 SL55 SL500 S500(not sure on this one). If it was a V8 like Audi's S4 V8...

Sure germans make nice v8's, but hey what about GM's v8. Over 400hp and it still gets the same gas mileage we get the Z06 I'm talking about. Hmmm corvette. Anywayz all wheel drive would be nice. But as you see in the market, things don't come out too quickly or change that is if it's hot. Unless you have a total bomber like umm the new ford t-bird. So i wouldn't rely on anything soon.

 

I hope they lied and don't release the new Skyline. Skylines never been fully released here, doing it now would be weak. The depiction of Skylines being shipped from Japan to US as right-hand drivers and with the classic Nissan logos would be shattered. Plus, our worth is going to die.

I may be wrong, but I think the G35x is coming out in the next month or so, with the "x" indicating all wheel drive. I'm curious when the convertible will be released. If they do, I hope it looks better than the Z convertible I saw yesterday (just my opinion).

Everyone makes good points. If Infiniti made a G35 Coupe TT or SC model with full WARRANTY, that would be nice. But there is nothing like the sound of a V8. And in the Northeast or snowbelt AWD is really handy. Technically, you can put a 400 HP through the car with mods, but will the engine or transmission's life be drasically shortened? Remember the 3.5 is a great engine, but it's not designed to do that (stock rods, bearings, etc...). And if anything goes wrong ... you are kidding yourselves if the dealer will honor the warranty.

Besides, it's just a daydream. I haven't heard anything definitive about the GTR ... but it would be a nice trade up.
