which tools to use to change the oil?

I will be changing the oil for the first time on my '06 coupe. I've changed oil in my other previous cars but would like to know which lifting tools to use.

Which lifting tools(jack, jack stands, ramps) are recommended? Which manufacture brands do the best job(i.e. Craftsman)?
I already have a jack and two jackstands but they are very old(over 15 years old) and need to buy new ones.

Also, please describe step by step instructions how to lift it properly and safely.Thanks.

14mm socket for the drain plug.
strap wrench or oil filter wrench (filters on pretty tight from the factory).
that's all you need as far as tools.

ramp (gorilla??? from Checkers, works fine) to get the car off the ground.

if you're gonna get a jack, look for a low one. I got the Aluminum 2-ton Craftsman, and even that is too high, I need to drive up on 2x4s to get the jack to clear. For jack stands look for the lowest ones you can find. I got a Craftsman pair and even on the lowest setting ( I think it's 14", I need to jack up the car a lot to get them to fit.) I think a 12" height would be perfect.
