Won one race against a turboed supra and lost the second one by a fender on the second. None of the races were launched. I also had a chance to race a integ w/ ls vtec turbo and i had him but mis-shift =(

I am sorry there aint no way in hell a G can win against a turboed supra. hahaha no way.

I aint lying, i did win the first race. I dont know if he wasnt trying or what but i beat him in 1 of 2 races. Beside, a turbo stock supra is not to far away from the g35 stock

 

well maybe you were racing to 60 from a stop and he had big tracton issues .... or like you said wasnt racing. Not many stock turbo supras out there. A guy that works with me has one tuned up making about 700hp on the highway I had no chances with it .... a friking rocket.

I have difficulty on this turbo Supra losing.. You sure it was turbo.

ls/vtec turbo is VERY fast too. i had a Ls/turbo in my 97 civic hatchback and it ran low 13's at 6-7 PSI and thats without the vtec head. A ls/vtec/turbo is a BEAST of a set up. i doubt you can take it.
i still dont have a G35 tho so i do not know its full potential so i will not deff. doubt you

 

Yes it was a turboed supra. We raced for maybe 2-3 blocks. The car was stock.

The ls/vtec was from a small roll

 

It'd be possible to beat a stock turboed supra if the car is stick...its a race between drivers. I believed xenon for winning the first race. And the second race the supra driver was more into winning so he beat him by a 1/3 car...no surprise. So if the turboed supra stays STOCK...we have chance. Once the nasty 2JZ engine is tuned...we have no chance (not a .001 chance). Well...just hoping the twin-turbo kit on the new coming GT-R35 would be available for us. Then we shall see.

Think about it. Most supras are like 5 years and older. They lose HP overtime and the stock turbos are getting old too. If the person is not into engine care then hell yea it'd be looking at ur a$$. Like I said that doesn't apply to any tuned up supras in which people actually renew the engine components like heads and cams over time and even installed new turbos. Then we be looking at their lovely a$$.

PS: E46 M3 is faster than the G35? Last time at the track a E46 M3 had worse 1/4 mile time than the G's. The M3 did a best of 14.7 something as our G did a best of 14.68. But does that mean a G would beat a M3 in a race? No. That's my point. Xenon did beat the supra however but people would think of it as a BS. Just my .03 cents

G35 beating a stock Supra sounds reasonable... even the integra with the turbo. Although it does boil down to who had a better take off. EIther way, racing in a straight line is too much about the power of the engine. Anyone can can get into a high power car and run full throttle. All about comparing times on a circuit race track like Sears Point or Laguna Seca. =)
