Has anybody ever had their fuel door pop open when pressing the unlock door button on their remote? I have had the fuel door pop open 3 times already.

it will do that if your fuel door has been pressed like you were trying to open it, when the doors are locked. just about a week ago. i pulled into the gas station, the doors had been locked. get out and push the fuel door. nothing happens. after pushing it a few times wondering what the hell is wrong i go to open the passenger door to say something about it to my girlfriend, the door being locked i hit the unlock button on the key fob. the fuel door opened as soon as i hit the button.

hmm...i gotta try that...when i first got the car and opened the doors, i couldnt get the fuel door to open...i then walked to the passenger door, pressed the door unlock button, and the fuel door popped open..

 

Actually I think it happened to my coupe as well (04').
I was walking towards my car the other night, when all of the sudden I see the fuel door popped out open. I'm like WTF?!?!
Was someone trying to "suck up" some gas?
Weird stuff....

 

yeah our G's have that issue

It happens to me sometimes when washing the G, if you put too much pressure on the gas lid while the car is locked, the next time you unlock the car, the lid will open by itself.
