putting the G on blocks?

I am having my OEM 19's painted on monday (black with a polished lip ).
I dont have an extra set of rims, so i have to put the G up on blocks till its done. I was wondering if this is the right way to block it up?
1. losen the lugs
2. jack up the one corner
3. place the cinder block under the A-arm(with a towel over it).
3 remove the wheel
4. lower the car
5. do next wheel until they are all done.
Im not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but i wanted to make sure before i break somethin.
thanks in advance,
-Tom

If it were me, I'd use jack stands.

As for using cinder blocks, I'm not sure.

Anyways, good luck.

I was going to say the same thing, go buy 4 jack stands, they're not that expensive, and jack it up on those

yea jack stands are not expensive about $50 for 4 cheap ones @ autozone, strauss, pep boys, etc etc

....& they are returnable if u "dont like them" **hint** just say they didnt feel sturdy enough

but cinder blocks with a towel over them will be just as effective

you can do it, but make sure you put something on top of the block that isnt so hard.

I wouldn't do it with the block. cuz at any point with the weight of the car, if you shift it wrong or too quickly and brake a block, then $50 for jack stands will be some much cheaper then repairing, bumper, paint and what ever else you mess up when the car comes down.

Man you bought a some what expensive car, just go spend another 50 bucks and do it the right way.

Only use blocks if you are stealing the tires... don't use them on your G.
