Question Sunroof Problem - Stuck Open

I've searched and I know there is a sunroof reset, but that is when the sunroof is closed all the way and you have to tilt it up. So, I was driving home and had my sunroof opened all the way for about 20 minutes. Got home and I couldn't get the damn thing to close. I press the close button and it moves 1/3 of the way and then stops. I can't get it to budge any more than that. I tried to "help" it by pushing it while it's moving, but once it stops its very hard to move. Seems like I would break it if I pushed any more. Checked the rails with a flash light and it doesn't look like it getting stuck on anything either. So, is there a way to reset the sunroof while its open? What could be the problem?

This must be some kind of inherent Infiniti problem. My 1995 J30 used to do the same thing and that was about 10 years ago. At times mine wouldn't close no matter what I did to it (e.g. pressing a button for more than a minute) and then a few minutes later it would act like nothing ever happened. Go figure.

Don't force it. It's probably out of alignment.
Take it into the dealer and let him fix it.

dont waste ur time by take ur car to the dealer for stupid problem like that, read your manual... there is a over ride you can do by using the sunroof button...

mine got stuck like a year ago... did what the manual said to do when it gets stuck... i had no problem ever since...

good luck!
