If you head over to acura.com and check out pictures of the TL, you will see they have more enticing pictures to offer. The pictures that BMW3toG35C took just do not do this car justice (no offense, BMW3toG35C).

None taken. And the car looks great "in the flesh" too. I think it's killer overall for what it's trying to be (which of course is quite different than the G35C).

we are no match in terms of interior design and quality to new TL... only categories we are ahead are peformance and exterior design... and TL wins everything else...

Aside from my preference for the G35C's sports car mojo, the lack of a fold-down rear seat in the TL would be a deal-breaker for me. I frequently need to carry things that would not fit in either car otherwise.

I like the look of the interior, although it really resembles the new Accord's interior, cept a little sportier. I really like the metal trim tho, is it real metallic stuff like on the Accords? I wish our G's came like that instead...

Don't hate. Like I said, those pictures just don't do it justice. At least check out acura.com or see one for yourself on the road before you make that call. It is a really sharp-looking car...not better than the G35C in my opinion (but they are two different kinds of cars anyways), but the Acura TL's styling is DEFINITELY something to write home about...
But then again, whoever just doesn't agree with me, I respect that too.

I think they nailed the interior, but when I went to look at one recently, the exterior styling just didn't ring my bell, and the drive was less than I had hoped for. If I could combine the exterior styling and drive of the G with the "gadgetry" of the new TL, I'd be a happy man.

i'm not a g35 owner YET, but i checked out the infiniti dealer and then stopped by the acura dealer lil further down the highway. i love the g and will be getting it in a few months, but as for the tl, i really like the interior of it and wish the g had something like that. but the 04 tl is like a car that i would drive maybe in a several years after when i get a family/business or something.

Great pictures and analysis - pretty much in line with the reviews I've read. The TL looks to be a great car and if you're looking for a full-featured (not necessarily sport) sedan for the solid price point, it's a clear winner. If it were RWD, I'd seriously consider it against the G.

Yea I think there could be much better pictures taken of this car.

LOL! Sorry guys! All I'll offer as a disclaimer is that it wasn't my intention to have either the G coupe or the TL look any particular way. We lined the cars up, I framed them in the camera (a pretty nice one, a 5 MP Sony DSC-F717) and shot. If the G coupe pictures look good to you and the TL's don't (or vice-versa) then it's probably indicative of your preference for the cars.
As for me, having seen the TL in person now, next to my G35C, I do prefer the G's styling, but of course they're different classes of car (GT vs sedan). For a sedan, I think the TL looks really cool; different, modern and tastefully sporty. I also think that the light silver color my brother has is the only color that really makes the car look right. YMMV.

Re: G35C/'04 Acura TL pix
I've been checking out the tl several times at my local acura dealer. I think your pictures are fine, especially the second from the top. The only thing you are missing is a shot of the rear which I think is the coolest looking part of the car with the intergrated exaust tips which are awsome looking imho...
Also while the car looks OK in that color you really have to see it with the deep blue color (abyss blue pearl) they offer it in...THAT makes the car look drop dead BUT if you get blue outside you cannot get black inside which would pretty much be my dealbreaker because that's the only color combo I would like.
I thought the interior had superior features and quality but when I look at it I don't like it as much as the g's. Maybe it's the g's awsome seats. Maybe it's the stealthy nav screen or the way the short throw shifter looks and falls to hand. I think it might just be that the g's interior screams raw sports car with class while the tl's is nice but doesn't say sports car quite so loudly...
