Question concerning 15k service.
My local dealership (Tysons Corner) quoted me $430~ for the 15k mile service. I seriously can't believe how much it is but I'm not here to complain about that.
After looking at the forum, I plan on replacing the air filter and cabin filter myself. However, should I perform the oil change again just to be on the safe side (for warranty purposes) since I had the oil changed roughly a month ago when I was at 14000 miles at the dealership.
As for documentation purposes, will keeping the receipts be enough or should I type up some invoice saying what I did?
Thanks for any replies.

I think the price will vary from dealerships. I've seen prices like that from other people on the board. If it was in the 200's, I might just pay for the peace of mind that it was handled by the dealership, but paying $430~ will just aggravate me.

I wonder what they're including that perhaps you don't need?Yes keep receipts for whatever you do yourself just in case. (and a log of mileages and service done too).
No don't do the oil and filter again.....that would be a waste.....

Thanks for the replies. Kinda bothers me that they can quote me with a straight face..., but I'll be replacing the in-cabin and air filter myself.
Good idea about the log book...that's probably somewhere in my trunk.

i also live in NOVA and i think infinti will always charge an arm and a leg for service. i would recommend you just take it to one of the nissan dealerships..they do the same exact service for half the price. i think for 15k service, its around $270 or so.
Service writers, for most dealerships, work on either a commission or goal rate in addition to salary. Tell your guy it's a bit high and see if he'll give you a discount especially since you don't need the oil change or the cabin filter.
Get the list from the dealer of exact things and items they are going to perform for your 15k service, and than pick and choose the ones you want and don't want. You'll be suprised how the price is going to go down from $400 to $100, since they mostly just check things for you.
