Please Help! Photoshop Wizzes! How Do I...
easiest way is to use the pen tool and make a path around the edges of whatever it is. (i hope you know how to use the tool) go to paths pallete and click the arrow pullout >>> click save path. now go to the bottom of that pallete and click make selection. now copy & paste. go to layers and delete or hide original and your done. there are other ways to do this but im a graphic designer and this is by far the easiest and most precise way.
This is what I did. I took my picture which starts off with a white background and then I use the magic wand tool, I get all the areas and then I go to EDIT, and then CLEAR. Now, I would like to use this as my avatar so I color matched the avatar background on this forum however when I do it you can still say some of the square, can anyone help me? I need step by step instructions so that when saving it as an avatar there is no square around it, thanks.
make sure u merge the layers together in the layers column buy clicking on a small arrow > that will open a drop down menu then repeat the magic wand process....if that doesnt work try it in illustrator or post it up here?
