kevin told me that paint would be better, because it could be touched up if i were to **** up a rim. It looks great and i have not had any problems with the finish.

And if they are powdercoated, the lip can't be left exposed, ie no way to mask the lip

i think you can powdercoat the whole wheel, and then just strip off the powdercoat on the lip, and polish it??

is it a special process to paint the rims or is it like painting a car..just have to mask off? sand and then spray paint then clearcoat?any special sealer they use to insure less chips etc??

YES THIS IS WAHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE, PAINT IS GOOD BUUT POWDER COAT IS WAY BETTER.

Powdercoat is 7 times stronger than paint.

Still looks better then half the black aftermarket wheels out there. But 800 does sound a lil steep, unless your wheels were really really f*ed up. I curbed one of my wheels. I should get that fixed too.
