GPS Book?
GPS Book?
I just picked up my G35 but I do not see any instructions for the GPS? Also I thought I read somewhere that we get 2 months of Sattelite radio. When I hit the SAT button it says not there.
Re: GPS Book?
Your SAT book should be in the package that came with your G. Mine was in the black box of stuff that came with it. If you can't find it, you can get a PDF online; check the A/V Sat Nav forum.
As far as the SAT radio is concerned, you need to call to have your receiver activated. If you hit SAT it should show you a 1-800 number to call. If it's not there the number for Sirius is 1-888-539-7474. An operator will walk you through the setup. If you have XM I don't know the number but it should be easy to find on the web. Have your VIN handy and a credit card too. Although it is free for the first two months, they still need a card to confirm the setup.
That reminds me, I'm actually in my 4th month and haven't a charge on my card yet.

Re: GPS Book?
If the display says "NO SAT" when you press the button, then I'm guessing you didn't buy the satellite radio option and still need to purchase it and have it installed before you can activate it.

Re: GPS Book?
You are right. I thought it came with the premium sound system by default. Had no idea it was an option. No big deal since I would have never paid for the service but I thought if I did have it why not try it out for the 2 free months.
