I have noticed on my 04 coupe that the 2 side marker lights on the drivers side are both out. All other lights are fine on inside and outside. Just the 2 side lights on front and rear are not working. My car is completely stock. I have not modified anything.

Could it be a fuse? If so would it be the fuse under hood or under dash? Could it be both bulbs at same time?

Many thanks in advance for help!

ummm.. dont take this the wrong way, but.. do you have a owners manual? thatll tell you if theyre fused. and when you find the answer, go to the store and buy a couple of 194 bulbs, because theyre burnt out.

Well... got my answer... I went out just now and checked all interior fuses. All was good. Out of frustation I tapped (not punched ) the front lens.... bingo light came on. Went to back light... tapped... light came on. Now the work. Tried tapping over and over and they just stay on. Turned lights on and off... they are working. Odd... Perhaps I should replace the bulbs? What are the odds of both of them needing tapping on the same side at same time?

Not true, there is a fuse box under the wiper cowl on the pass. side, the manual does not mention it. Im glad you figured out your problem

Sometimes you can tap a floppy broken filament back onto its holder. I would change the bulbs just to be safe. While you are at it, check the socket for corrosion.

I've been doing exactly same thing for the last few months, but the rear side marker does not come on anymore. Anyone know how to change rear sidemarker bulb? I checked in there and it looks like I have to take the whole light out? Is this for real?

the front side markers are pretty easy to replace..... its a $ 1.50 bulb at any auot parts store.... my drivers side went out a few months ago, just remove the wheel, then the platsic inner fender and you are right at the source of the "bad bulb".... should take you about 1/2 hr to a hour tops !!!!
good luck

I actually only had a question on the rear side marker bulb replacement. Fronts are easy, and it was the clearence light bulb that needs occasional tapping. So I guess nobody ever had the rear side marker bulb going out. I'm gonna call the dealer I think. Thanks guys.
