New-Re: extended warranty

Hi, what is a good price to negotiate for to purchase an extended warrenty up to 100K? Is it even needed?
Comments or advise appreciated- My car is in & can't wait to go pick it up- (Except major snow fall right now in my neck of the woods). G35C/LR/Prem/Perf/Aero-----Thanks

I don't think it is really needed considering the already generous base warranty the car comes with.....but it is a nice peace of mind since it is a machine and machines can/do break down. It also depends on how much driving you do and how long you intend to keep your car. I got the 7yr/100,000 mile warranty from the dealer for $1700.00 with a $25.00/visit deductible.

I also got the 100k/mile warrenty. I plan on keeping my car for a while and if something goes wrong, the warrenty pays for itself in one time!

I got mine for $1604.00. I think that I could have negotiated better, but I didn't try. Also, this is the first year for this car, and although it is a Skyline engine, things always can go wrong in the first year, even beyond 48,000 miles. Good thing to get it. Maybe I am just trying to convince myself. haha

People who say that money cannot bring happiness never drove a G35 Sport Coupe!

excluding the GAP I paid for I'm pretty sure the extended warranty only add's like 11 bucks extra a month on my car payment... I thought about that and that's like 11 soda's at the office so I'll live....lol

thats an easy little deal, I can see why you wouldnt pass that up.

But i remember reading somewhere that the number 1 way to waste money on your car is too buy an extended warranty.

Considering the fact the warranty can be purchased at ANY point in time during the initial warranty with a admin fee .. I figured if I keep the car that long ... yeah ..maybe I will get it...
