About to go..

Hey, do you think that this is a good deal? Is there any specific reasons why not to purchase it. Also, if you were buying it, how much do you think that you can get that price down to. Just wondering what I should be loooking to pay. Any major problems with the 03? And honeslty, is it safe to buy it, reliable car? Thanks guys.

obviously reliable, good mileage, I think 25K is paying all the money for that, but keep in mind its a dealer, no nav and automatic. I'd say 23K would be a steal - but havent been following the mkt that much lately so I may be off, but if its a good price in your area, pull the trigger!

It'd be a good deal if you could knock 1-1.5k off of that. Judging from the interior that is a first generation G35 without the silver trim on the console...see if you can talk them down.

I agree with the others - getting it for 1K less would be awesome.

Overall, I'm super pleased with my 03 auto. I'm currently at 52K miles and never had a single mechanical problem or any no electrical issues. All the little things (squeaks, etc) that people mention in these forums can be addressed by the warranty (there are specific technical bulletins available online).

You still have 2 months and another 30K miles left on your warranty (4 yrs, 60K miles). I'd make sure all recalls and Infiniti service bulletins have been addressed too - get as much as you can taken care of before the warranty ends. Good luck with your purchase! You won't regret it!

Based on other posts in this forum, it seems like some dealerships will allow modifications while others won't. I'm not sure if you'd want to, but I guess you could always ask the dealership what they allow.

But once the 4yrs 60k is up, then there is nothing to worry about right? I mean the warranty is done, so I can do what I want correct? Sorry, I dont know how car warraty works, considering all manufactures are different. I mean so after 2 months, my car is out of warranty, the engine ****s up, I have to pay for it no?

You shouldn't have any problems with mods as long as they aren't engine/exhaust components. Basically if you have a mechanical problem with the car, the dealer will try as hard as they can to prove that your mods caused the problem, hence voiding your warranty. Putting on a kit or some other aesthetic mods shouldn't make a difference.

If you are going to put CAI, new exhaust, Y pipe, headers, anything like that then I'd keep the stock parts and swap them (if possible) before going to get any repairs under warranty. Otherwise you shold be fine.

Yeah, I was also wondering, how long of a wait untill the 03 price takes a dip. Would January be long enough? I mean I can easily wait till mid January to get the car, Im not really in a rush, waiting for a nice deal to come my way.

Im guessing they will drop alot when the new body style comes out and the recent one becomes out of date.

i think thats high, you could go through a private party and get an 04 w/similar miles for that and have another year of warranty. I'd wait till Jan if you could for an even bigger drop, but people tend to be low on funds then too...: (

Well, money wont be a problem at that time. I just dont want to rush and buy it, and then 3 months later when the new body drops, the 03' 04's take a nice plunge. I dont mind waiting till mid january, what kind of drop should I see..

04 g35..Black/black spoiler, with 45k around 20k maybe? Or am I being to low, more like 23?
