DC Headers worth the money or not?
DC Headers worth the money or not?
Hello Guys I was wondering if any one has installed a DC sports headers. Is it worth the cost of the header and the installation? I have a 2005 G35 coupe and I have already installed a CAI and Full exhaust system all by Injen. Yes my exhaust is a little bit loud would it get louder if I get the headers done?
PLease let me know if you get across of any problem after installation?

just about the only problem you'll come accross is via CEL codes. that's about it. Not even those Sparkplug antifoulers work (long term). your best bet is to try Casper Electronics O2 sim.
One thing though, you could run into a lean gas mixture. If I were you, I'd complement the exhaust system with a fuel pump upgrade and a reflash to get most out of your mods...SAFELY.

CEL issues with headers
I don't think so. If he puts on Test Pipes, then yes. Headers, Good HFCs, exhaust system. No CEL problems.Lou
I have had my DC Sports Headers on for awhile now. When I put them on originaly I didn't notice a huge difference. Of course that is with my butt dyno. They are not easy to install and to be honest with you, I can't tell you for certain that they are a great investment. My best mod so far has been the Stillen S/C and by having the headers I lost about a 1/2 lb of boost. That is with Stillen not the other FI applications. Just my .02

Headers plus install run you around $500 and change right? Gains from it are barely bushing 10hp.
I've got 'em and I don't regret getting them, but if I had to do it again, I would of rather bought hi-flow cats instead.
You haven't done anything to your plenum yet. Do that first. The MREV is awesome. I heard the kinetix plenum is also good. If you decide against that, then consider hi-flow catsor test pipes.
Put headers towards the bottom of your wishlist. They give you a slight gain but bang for buck is not there.
