Who here has REAL personal experience with the Skunk2 plenum spacer?

VERY cold air eh? lol.
LOL
lol
you are looking at max 1-2hp whp... if that
a ztube is basically just as effective as a CAI. you are buying SOUND with a CAI for our G's
everyone knows that
Also, some say the sound alone is worth the $, and a Z tube does not produce as sweet a sound, it just does not; been there, heard it.
And why are you mentioning Mustangs here buddy? I got out of a C5 Vette for this G, so it's not all about power. I am just answering this guy truthfully so he gets my honest opinion. Glad you shared yours and also got a good laugh

IMHO the CAI sound over the ztube is all a matter of opinion. I personally went with the stillen intake with a K&N filter because it sounds a heck of a lot better, in my opinion of course, than any CAI. Most of the people that I know think that the CAI sound is played out and lame.
there is not much, if any, difference in hp between ztubes and CAI... CAI are very overrated. Any "CAI" off of ebay works just as well as any name brand... the only difference is that the name brands have stickers on them... and as we all know, the more stickers, the more hp
complete waste of money, in my opinion of course

hah, yeah I feel ya on that one buddy...
So no one has any bad experiences with the spacer? On several other threads, I read about people thinking the Skunk2 spacer sucks and such, but no one has any bad personal experiences with it, or at least they don't post about them.
Next mods I'm planning: HKS exhaust, wheels, tires, and possibly a coilover setup for next spring. Possibly tinting the windows as well.

If your G makes it to 8000 RPMs, someone must have put a freakin rotary engine on your G when you weren't looking because it is not possible for our cars to hit 8000 RPMs We have something called a Rev Limiter in our cars buddy. Once we hit a certain RPM our ECU cuts the fuel...
you've been running on a crawford with a spacer?!
your lacking in lower RPM range is due to the lack of tuning that is pertinent with that type of setup. The F/A ration is going to run lean in the lower RPMs because of it. Once you are over that negative ratio point, you will feel it.

Its no turbo, but after i installed it on my 03 5AT sedan me and 2 of my friends went for a ride, and as soon as it hits 3k rpms, you can tell a pretty significant difference. Id reccommend it.

I was also think that an added benefit that it is not metal so the heat transfer would be less to the upper plenum. Not sure how much but I guess it is better than nothing.
