Sticky Gas Pedal

The Shop Manual for the coupe is up on the Nissan Publications site now.
<hr></blockquote>
Thanks Merlin. I ordered the paper version a few minutes ago. Boy these things are getting pricey.
I always like to get the shop manuals when I get a new car, and try to fix things myself if I can. If it's beyond my capability, at least I can talk the same language to the Service Writer when I go in for a repair.

I know how you feel about "sellers remorse"...it was hard to say good-bye.
<hr></blockquote>
Thanks Joe.....
It really was a hard decision. The SC was a great car. We were disappointed in the looks of the new SC430..... It sort of looks like a chubby Miata, or a Hyundai Tibburon from the rear, not to mention the price. Don't get me wrong, the styling is OK, but its just not my taste. There is just nothing out there to compare to the G Coupe right now. Especially in the price range. The Coupe and Sedan have got to be the best value out there. I almost got a Sedan when they came out, but it didn't jump out and say "buy me". I think if the Sedan had a little better styling like the Coupe, I would have had it. I'd like to see the Coupe's grill on the Sedan. There is just a subtle difference between them, but it makes a BIG difference to me.

Nice car buddy... sorry to hear about the issue, even if its nothing .. its something and I can understand ... everyone wants their new car to be perfect. I hope you get it worked out.
Looks like you got the rims Chromed ...???
I was wondering did the dealer get that done.. how much was it ...
gorgeous color .. I initially was gonna go white but... things changed as I am sure all of minds did many times for our own reasons
Take care

I think the 18-inch wheels were around $1400 from the dealer. You could probably get them done cheaper if you wanted to wait until after delivery and do some research to find out who does the best job for the price. The beauty of having the dealer do them, is it's one-stop shopping. Plus uou don't have to give up the car while they do it. (They had a new already chromed set waiting to be put on when the car came in).

I mulled over the color for weeks before deciding on the Pearl. The colors are really limited. It boiled down to Black, Pearl, Red, or three non-distinguishable colors of Grey. I'd like to see them come out with some additional choices, and replace some of the Grey tones. Maybe even some semi-outrages colors like yellow or the orangey color available on the Z. Something to add a little pazzaz

I just checked out the site. Was the price of the manual $315?

Hey WenGyn,

That is a lot for the manual. The other option is to buy the CD version for $210 US + S&H. I can vouch for it's usefulness,
I've got the Sedan version as do many of us, but not the Coupe's, yet!

Re: Sticky Gas Pedal
I have test driven another car to verify and I do have a hesitation.(2nd attempt) I am going in for service on this Wed.The service advisor started back tracking on the phone when mention this, not a comfy feeling. Also told me my advisor no longer worked there. I also will get the pull to the right addressed again (3rd time), problem w/shifter going to far to the right when trying to go to 5th(1st attempt), Vibration is higher tha expected (3rd attempt)but the other car demonstrated this trait too so may be design issue. Salesman stated he would have the custom electric settings doem at this time when purchasing , no cost. He didn't return my phone call since Thurs or Friday. Where is this "Total Satisfaction" BS now that they had my money(wasn't there when purchasing either) .

Just fix my car I will be a good g cheerleader like Copper (from FreshAlloy

I'll give the battery disconnect a try (if we can keep it off the road for 12 hours in a row). Boy is this fun to drive, especially if you like the NAV system too. I find we drive around just to CONFIRM that the NAV system is in fact accurate. So far it's been right on. Any excuse, I guess.
I have the DBW in my '99 Vette also, and it is smooth as silk. No hesitation from a stop, or in any gear, at any speed.
