do you have a box for it? if not, the 4080 box is great i hear. This sounds like the system i want. The shop installing your sub should have all that stuff. I haven't installed anything myself so I don't know where to get all that stuff for cheap. you can compare prices at a local shop, crutchfield.com, or another audio site.

yea i wanted to get the 4080 box but they dont make them for the 12" i got a quote from tweeter i think it was
Power kit: $89, or $105
RCA: $70
Hi-low converter: $20
Amp installation $65
Sealed box: $150+$30 materials for custom box

I kinda wanted to know what cables to buy, like brand and stuff cuz i wanna see if i can buy them cheaper somewhere else.

16psibrick is in San Jose. I think he would be a good place to start. he has prices for all the stuff you need and install.

Don't even worry about the cables, get the cheapest you can find. You don;t sound like an audiophile. I once was. Go on ebay and search for a 4gauge kit. Buy the line level convertor from the shop. And shouldnt the bass-know have come with the amp if it uses one?

So basically shop on ebay if you want to save money but not have everything installed right away. Other than that drop everything off at the dealer. I removed everything from my g20 and proceeded to get to work on the G. When i got to the part of running Power through firewall i decided i liked my car too much and just give it to professionals.

It cost me $120 for amp kit and install on the amp on h-l convertor. I droped it off before work and had it after work. I figure it was worth it considering the prior sat i started fiddling and realized it would take a decent amount of time to pull the car apart to run a few wires. When i get the z1 i might do it myself, hae to decide on the value of money

Don't waste your money buying expensive wiring. I went to a indoor swamp meet and purchase an entire kit for $15. The only thing I will suggest is buy a decent fuse. That's the only thing I didn't use in the $15 kit because that's the first thing to short. Also the gauge of the cable depends on your amp's power. They'll have a chart on the kit you buy.

I found this enclosure on ebay for a 12" sub. Clicky

Knukonceptz is the play to go for amp kits. Best price for high quality cable.
Either purchase these kits:
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...prodID=KOL-AK4
http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...?prodID=eKo-K4
Which includes the RCA's, then cut the ends off of RCA's and attach them to your lines before the bose amp, or make your own RCA's from solder RCA's and microphone cable. The benifits of this are that the +/- wires are thicker making for a better connection than the method of cutting the RCA ends off.

this is where i have bought all my cables all my life, in addition why would you need to make your own RCA's. why can't you just buy a converter to hook up in the back of the stereo to the rear speaker wires?
