Glove box light visable?

I thought there was something wrong as well until I couldn't find a switch anywhere. My old Accord would do the same thing, but that was because the door became loose and wasn't making contact on the switch anymore. Dumb that a $40K car would do this NORMALLY.
I had this problem on my 04 coupe, and had them replace the door twice. First time was for rattles, and I thought "Ok since they're fixing it the light won't shine through". Nope, I took it back again and the light was still visible and I just said fck it.
I traded in the 04 for an 06 coupe (12 month lease) and same problem persists. Sounds like a cheesy fix, but I usually keeps tissues/napkins in the glove box anyways, but I just strategically position them to block the light. Works like a charm.

Never noticed it in my '04. Since this was discussed on this forum many times before, I once glanced at the glove box at night, and didn't see the light. Maybe cause I do have some crap and napkins in there. Hmm... I'm gonna have to take everything out and check tonite.
I noticed this the first night I had my car. I called the stealership and spoke with my service rep. He said, "It's a common issue with the Coupe version. There's really nothing that can be done about it." At first I was a bit peeved to hear that a $35-$40k car had such a lame issue. Then after a few nights I can manage to ignore it ok but, every once inawhile it still annoys the crap out of me that it's even there.
