Premature tire wear

Has anyone had any problems with premature tire wear? The wear I have been getting is really wierd. My right rear wears A LOT faster than the left. I do spin the tires on occasion, but its from grabbing 2nd gear, not from taking off or power brakeing. Any one else have a similar problem?

16k isn't bad if you have the RE050A's which have a 144 treadwear rating.
Sounds like your wheels are out of balance and or have some flat spots.
I would also assume that the right rear would wear the quickest as it's taking most of the heat everytime you pull out parking lots and what not.

Is the wear even across the face of the tread, or is the tire worn more on one side (most likely the inner edge) than the other? Even wear indicates you just have a heavy foot -- uneven wear indicates an alignment problem.

I have the Mich Pilot Sports in 18" and they have 26K miles on them. They are cupped according to the dealer (no solution) but I decided to autox with them last summer. After 100 or so runs, the cupping is gone but the tires look like a drove over broken glass They still have enough tread to be legal by quite a bunch. So I guess the lesson is drive the **** outa the car and the tires wear evenly.

I have the exact problem, except it's my front right that is wearing much faster than the front left's. Went for an alignment at the dealership so i'll see how it goes.

Same problem with my past OEM 050A's.
Negative non-adjustable camber built in and found front toe was off from the factory with only 6600 miles.
Plus the UTQG is only 140 as said before. With that number, don't expect much life on those Potenza's.

Infiniti should be taken to court like nissan for the horriable tire wear.

Here is a pic of the driver rear (sorry for the dirty tires...)

And here is the passenger rear.

Im pretty sure the air pressure is the same in both tires, but I will check that soon and let you know.

the only thing that is for certain is that the warranty won't cover it.

but take it to the dealership and see what they say anyway.
