Cordless Impact Wrench Recommendations?

I am planning on doing a bunch of mods to my G as well as my truck in the near future... and I'm sick of using breaker bars with pipes over the handles and spending hours loosening frozen bolts.. so it's time to buy an impact wrench. I don't have a compressor right now, so I'm thinking of probably just getting a cordless Impact Wrench.

Do any of you have any recommendations on a good wrench or manufacturer?

It looks like these manufacturers make a decent amount of different Impact Wrenches, but I have no familiarity with who actually makes the quality brands of these things.... so I was hoping some of you could chime in with some input on specific wrenches or just in general with info about these manufacturers or any others that you know of:

-Makita
-Dewalt
-Craftsman
-Milwaukee

I'd really appreciate any help you guys can offer.... Thanks.

dewalt if you can afford it, craftsman makes very good ones also. I would go with either one of those. Some contractors prefer the two other brands just because they come in a set alot of times.

I bought an 18V cordless tool set from Home Depot. idgid.......anyway, it came with an 18V cordless impact gun (1440 in-lb of torque. ) as a free bonus!!!!!

It is great. For really tough stuff, you'll still need a real impact gun though. 1/2" pneumatic.

the 18v is great for suspensionstuff though. I did a spring install using it. Plus, it makes taking the wheels on and off very easy.

It doesn't get much better with Snap-On if you have the bucks.
2nd choice, Milwaukee
3rd, Dewalt

Thinking of maybe getting this one... it has ungodly amounts of torque and seems to have gotten amazing ratings.. yet is only like 20 bucks more than the dewalt and craftsman 18V cordless guns:

Anyone use their products?

^^^Nope.
Know they make reliable commercial compressors, but never knew they made cordless impacts.

Dewalt - I go the race track a lot and i use this 1\2" impact cordless to remove my wheels and install slicks - I also use it when i go out with mi family in case of a flat tire ( much faster ) . I also use it to grease the sway bars, remove hard nuts , remove the wheels to clean the car to and auto show etc. Also i use it on my ford van 350 and in my bussiness to. It becomes very handy when you have one around in the home. buy it i do a research and i select this one - i Buy a Ridgid and it didnt work, dont even remove the tires nuts. Snap-on is almost the same as Dewalt

Im a contractor and all my tools are Ridgid and Dewalt

dont go with makita, a guy i work with went through 3 of them within 2 months and then they stopped the warranty for no reason. depends what you need it for, if its just for light occasional stuff or working on the car dewalt and millwaukee are the best for the money, but between those if youre using it alot go with the dewalt. milwaukee has a **** cluch and they dont last as long
