Left the G in the underground parking lot...didn't even try to take it out.
And there is no point putting Winters on, 'cause it may not snow again all winter...that's what Vancouver is like...

In a word...NO! Last winter I had a hard time backing my 05 6MT out of my flat driveway to get to my winter beater. Not only is the snow itself a problem, but summer tires offer really lousy grip when the temperatures get near or below ~35 F. It's just not worth the risk...not to your car, not to you, and definitely not to anyone else you might crash into because of the lack of traction. You should either get a set of winter tires or a second vehicle better suited to winter driving.

Unless you plan on keeping your car in the garage whenever it rains and/or dips below 50 degrees, I'd at least get some UltraHighPerformance All/Season tires. The stock summer tires suck when it's cold out. It's called "summer" tires for a reason.

I remember a while back, Tire Rack told me that the definition of "Summer" in regards to Summer Tires, is average daily temperature > 60 degrees or something like that.

I thought I was fine on mine, until it started handling like rolling ice cubes when it was 45 and misty outside. Replaced the tires with All/Seasons, and never had that feeling again.

We got 4 inches here in oklahoma the other day. My G hasn't moved an inch. I'm currently referring to it as the infinicile. The car really doesnt suck that bad in the snow but those 19's with summer tires aren't doing me much good.

Ditto on the beater. Just buy a fwd or awd beater and put some good all season tires on it. When I was stationed in Germany. After the first snow my BBS were off and the steelie with snow tires were on all 4 on my BMW and Golf.

I still cant believe posts like these exist, does people still think that its a mith that summer tires are only for summer driving. Everyone always says that our cars are horrible in snow when its all about the tires. The car has a very good weight distribution, got TC, vdc and all the other crap, so it has everything you need to be safe in snow driving, all you need is just winter tires. I drove mine all last winter with all kinds of snow and i never had a problem.

You beat me to the punch. Imagine a RWD car with low profile summer tires not providing great traction in the snow.

WOW! I live in chicago and it is snowing crazy over here. They still expect 6-9 inches by 9 am. Stupid chicago public schools won't even close. Even the weatherman called them crazy. I wasn't going to even try taking my G coupe out cuz with the snow that high and my car so low, im not getting very far. Im not even planning on putting winter tires on =). I was going to take my parents MDX but just decided not to go at all.
