The summer only tires are dangerous even in small amounts of snow. You may have problems with as little as an inch of snow. Do a favor to all of us, and stay off the road with them in bad conditions.
There not very safe in colder temperatures either. They really loose grip when it gets down to about 45 degrees.
Even with good snow tires, the car is an average at best in snow. I have 18" Dunlop Wintersports on my coup. It handles OK in snow. My wife's Mazda 6 with all season radials is much better. For comparison, my old Mitsu Eclipse (with AWD) was rocket in the snow, even with all season radials. One of the few things I miss about it -- used to love the snow days.
