So i took my car to a Nissan service shop during my lunch..

He wrote on my order receipt:

2005 Nissan Skyline 350GT

Synthetic - $65.00

i stood right next to them to make sure they really put synthetic.. but the comedy part is, how can a nissan service rep not know its a G35? or maybe he didnt care...

Guys who work at the dealerships and who are not actually part of sales don't really care what kind of car you have. As long as you're willing to pay, they'll write up the service request for you. All service reps do is write down what the problem is and send it off to the mechanics. Then move on to the next.

Never mind the rest of the story, I can't believe you paid $65 for an oil change. Holy smokes.

Sorry. No one touches my car but me. Not because of price, but because generally I receive sub-standard service and waste more of my time making things right than I would expend just doing it myself.

Not to mention I like getting under my vehicles on a regular basis.

I can't see paying ANYONE $65 to change my oil unless I was physically unable to do it myself, in which case I doubt I'd own this car.

Don't drop the soap................

Between 5 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic and a K&N oil filter my total is only
$35.......the plus factor here is that I know everything is done correctly.
If you took your oil and filter to the stealership would they charge you
the extra $30 to do the labor for ya? I guess if they thought they could
get away with it.......they would!!
