upgrades done, Miles per gallon dropped!!

sup guys, i'm having a little issue with my G... i have the apexi N1 exhaust, JWT pop charger w/ z-tube, and crawford plenum... i feel a big difference but also in the MPG... now i know you lose some MPG when you up grade but damn...i think i'm getting like 15 MPG...i drive it easy and only push it when i have to... someone suggested that i need to get a re-flash because of the upgrades i got...anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm no expert but I'll give it a shot..
Your engines breathing better, hence it is compensating for the extra air that its taking in ( its adding more fuel to compensate for the extra air)
I believe the key is dyno or a a/f guage to actually see how rich or lean you are running to be sure what you need.
I dont think a simple reflash will do, due to the fact that every engine is diff. and tuning depends on what altitude your at.

Just my 2 cents

the ECU - computer for the car is "flashed" or re-programmed, actually updated would be a better word. it takes in account the extra air that the engine is seeing now and will bump up the fuel delivery to match and better tune the car.

The air/fuel sensor will maintain a constant a/f ratio, so if the air input increases the fuel must also increase, my 2 cents.

I'm having the same exact problem. I'm seriously getting 13 - 15 MPG. Its so annoying. I feel like i have to fill up all the time.

How is reflashing ECU going to help/improve in MPG with mods?

From what I understand, reflashing ECU is about adjusting ignition timing and fuel map to match incoming "Air" bases on your modifications and AFM reading. If the air volume increase then the fuel must be increase to prevent engine running lean. In another word, reflashing will maximize your modification performance by using more fuel and more advance ignition timing which means the MPG will decrease after ECU reflashs. Am I right???

Are you lost like me?!?
