Is there a TSB for this?!?!

Every time I am going slow (under 20 mph) or I go over a speed bump or something bumpy there is this wierd sound coming from the back of the car in the trunk area. It sounds like blocks hitting each other (it is not a constant sound, but it just comes and goes for like 2 seconds). It is not an electric sound it sounds purely mechanical. I secured the spare tire and all that junk in the trunk and the sound was still there. Im assuming it has something to do with the suspension?

Is there any known tsb for this?
any ideas what it is?

Do you have aftermarket springs?

Have you bottomed out before? If you have you might want to see if that rear cross bar is bent. If it is it might be your exhaust banging against that bar. It happend to me and i had to bend the metal back down.

I have the same problem. I too thought it was a loose tire or tools in the trunk, but everything is secured very tightly. I set up an appointment for next week to have the Dealer check it out. Unfortunately my problem is intermitten, and I expect them to tell me that they can't replicate it.

I think I have the same issue on my car. I notice it most when the music is off. I've started noticing it recently...after they did the TSB fix for that rear axle clicking noise.

I had a loaner recently and also heard the same noise in their loaner.

Fast1, can you give me an update once u go 2 the dealer? I cant stand this sound! It makes the car sound like a cheap hyundai or something. I don't think it is that tsb for the rear axle clicking because it doesn't just do it when the car is accelerating. It does it when you go slowly over bumps or just going under 25 mph.

Everything is 100% stock.

Are we talking about the same sound? Mine clanks a bit when going over bumps at slower speeds. Like 20-30mph. I can't really hear it unless I drive next to a wall or another car with the windows down where the sound can reflect back into the cabin. Almost sounds like an exhaust hanger or a heat shield is loose on it's mounts and metal clangs on each other.

I would like to know this too. I had a tech look at it at my last oil change at the dealer but he said he didn't hear anything. I'm not sure if he really checked it out or he didn't listen for it under the right conditions.

like fast1 said, it sounds like some tools banging together coming from the rear of the G. (there is nothing in the trunk, and I even drove it with all the spare tire parts and everything out of the car). It doesn't sound really like hard metal banging it is a but duller and sounds like stuff clanging together.

I can hear it inside the car when i go over bumps and when i go under 20 mph it happens at least once.

Will do. Generally however I have to take my car to the Dealer at least twice before they can find any rattle. I guess they don't think I'm serious until the second complaint about the same problem.

We have the same problem. Sometimes it's worse than others, but I'm hoping that the Dealer will be able to hear the sound when he goes over the train tracks that are about a 1/4 mile form their lot.

I had the same problem earlier about 3 weeks ago. It didn't sound like a CLICKING noise to me, more like a CLANK. It'd happen when i accelerate from a stop, or when i go over road bumps. At first the CLANK sound is loud enough to make me think something broke, however, the car drove fine so i was not too concerned. I did make an appointment with infinity, but unfortunately when i took her in, which is about 1 week after the problem started, the CLANK sound just doesn't happen as often anymore. So the tech said he couldn't reproduce the sound during the test drive, and no repair was done during that visit. Regardless, the CLANK sound went away by itself, and I cannot reproduce it either. No idea what it was, but i hope it doesn't come back...lol
