Has anyone's 3rd and/or 4th gear grinded while shifting, despite pressing the clutch pedal down all the way?

I noticed this on my friend's 350Z Enthuiast Edition a while back. Thought it was me....but apparently it happened to him around 3,000 miles, and then disappeared around 4,000 miles.

 

I posted this before, but my 4th/5th gear started grinding about 2 weeks ago. I took it in and they informed me they had to replace the whole tranny. I was supposed to get it back today, but they are still waiting on a cleavis joint (sp?) so they said by Tuesday. I really miss my car though
