dashboard rattle

i noticed within 2 weeks that the cluster cover (the big curved part that meves with the steering column) rattles against the dash when going on rough roads. if i wedge my finger in between the dash and the curved cover, it stops (left side to be exact). anyone else fix this permanently? i don't want to take it to the dealer and don't want to try glueing multiple things in between the two parts without knowing it's a sure fix. thanks.

Hey Bigd2k6,
I had a similar problem with my left dash vent. It is a known problem by Infiniti and it's posted as a service bulletin. Take a look at this document and bring it to service for warranty repair:

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB05-053.htm

This is a useful site which I check first and sometimes print out the fixes for the service department to make sure they fix it right the first time. I have an 05 Coupe 6MT too so here are the service pages:

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Infiniti...upe/2005/1.htm

Good luck!! I haven't gotten my rattle completely fixed because it is intermittent and I can't get it to rattle when I am at the dealer!!!!
