Wheelie? Big deal. I do that every day in my SUV. I just go over the train track hump at 40 mph. Wheelie city.

BTW, you're a dork.

Re: I did a wheelie, for real!!!

Funny thread. Without independent proof of the wheels leaving the ground, it would be hard to say. It's more likely that your suspension in the front dropped giving you that sensation of pulling a wheelie. Non the less I am sure you had fun.

As for hanging a wheelie I used to do it all the time with my F-150 truck. I would come up to a RR crossing and punch the throttle. I have many scrapes on the bottom of the trailer hitch for proof. I also have caught some air in SHO going over a humped intersection too fast while trying to beat a red light. A new radiator later, I learned my lesson to not race that light.

I live in New York, dorkboy. I'm not "scared" to list that in my profile. I just didn't bother when I signed up.....

BTW, don't try to be an e-thug. That's more than pathetic. Too many of you around the forums these days.

And just for the record, you didn't do a wheelie.

Re: I did a wheelie, for real!!!

I made the jump to light speed! It was about 3 AM, and I was flooring it on the Long Island Expressway, doing about 140 when all of a sudden there was this whoosh and the sky started turning sideways and I shot out into the night like a bullet! Next thing I knew I was in a cornfield in Indiana! Really!

Hahaha, fellow HB citizen here, I thought I was the only one insane enough to try that stunt at the exact same place you are talking about. I used to do 80+ over the lump and wheeee~ 4 wheels off the ground - Knight Rider style. No undercarrage damage, because the decending incline is sloped so you can land on all 4. It was sort of amusing to look in the rear view mirror and watch unsuspected passengers' heads bang against the headliner. (This is when I was stupid and young)

Wheelie hahahahaha, 3-4 inches hahahahahaha, 40mph hahahahaha~ Sorry, I couldn't resist. For the record, you can lose front steering under heavy acceleration WITHOUT wheelie~

Re: I did a wheelie, for real!!!

I completely believe you.. It's not that hard to get the front wheels off the ground.. I managed to do it even in an LX470, a 5600+ lb vehicle. I was accelerating and right when the car downshifted to 1st i hit a bump and the front wheels popped up a little bit, it was quite weird...It was only for a split second, probably .5 of a second but I could feel no feedback from the steering wheel as the front wheels basically "hopped up" off the ground.. Pretty much a wheelie, if only for half a second. I wouldn't doubt a car with a much higher power to weight ratio would be able to do something like that for a bit longer.

Re: I did a wheelie, for real!!!

all this original post was, was about one little incident...

I am 19 and still stupid so here goes the worst i have done with my car!

On University in Ft. Lauderdale, my friend and i were racing, road closed by other friends at like 4am..... we flew through the tunnel at about 135+ and got some massive air coming back out!

MOST FUN I EVER HAD DRIVING MY CAR!

but i don't recommend doing above 110 in our coupes with the windows and sunroof open because the car bounces around from all the wind shear.... I was on the I-95 with some buddies one night and they took off all of a sudden and i couldn't be left behind so i gunned it too, felt like a wind tunnel in the car!

On state road 60 from tampa to Yeahaw Junct. on the way home from a roadtrip a couple weeks back i averaged above 100mph for over an hour, long semi straight road, with no cops, or traffic! In mid-day too!

Hey i am just a kid in the big scheme of things, and just trying to have fun, and learn new stuff..... there is no reason to berate me, etc. the majority of you all are really mature, and i have learned soooooooo much about cars over the past few months, and i love my car more than anything!

To all the helpful, non critical...... THANKS!!!!!!!!!

Peace
