OK, I bought a new 2006 G35 back in Sept, I love the car, but I saw 2005 G and I noticed that the stock rear spoiler is different. My question is, is the bolt pattern on the 2005 spoiler the same as the 2006?

get the 06' spoiler it looks a lot better!!! but i dunno if its the same pattern

 

Same bolt pattern, but usually spoilers are stuck on with 3M tape which is usually pretty hard to take off without damage to trunk.

 

Cool, I have a great boby shop here so I will ask them about that. I have the 06 spoiler , but I like the 05 better which is why I was asking. I asked the dealer and they tried to tell me they had two different patterns, which being an engineering myself, I found a little hard to believe considering working involved in changing the program and the tool cast.

I would assume that it would be the same due to why make a new trunk for a new wing

 

good luck with that. im swapping out my 06 wing for a carbon fiber 05 wing once i get some money together. i like the older wings better

 

I have an 06 as well and I bought an 05 spoiler and installed it. Bolt pattern is irrelevant because you have to drill holes in the trunk anyway. It does not just stick on with tape.

 

I installed the 06' spoiler on my 05' and didn't even bother with the tape.

 

Can you guys post some pics? Ive never seen an 06 with an 05 wing. Thanks

 

I have an '06 and I ordered the '05 aero kit installed on it. They said it wasn't a problem making the change.

i hate the 03-05 spoiler... id swap with someone who has a laser red 06 spoiler ANY DAY

 

yep, after 2nd thought, the 06 does look better... the 05 and under only looks good from behind.. but at a side view, its looks weird...

06 wing is more in line with the G's body line.
