stock vs. stock, you might get a little jump on a Supra in the low rpm's but if you don't have a decent lead on one before his turbos fully spool, you'll lose. It's actually hard to run into a Supra that's stock. Most have had minor mods at least. I had a 6-speed, TT hardtop for a long time and it was a monster with just a few mods. It had over 400hp to the wheels. But, I'd take my G35c over it any day....

Are you talking about a Stock G35 vs a Non Turbo, or a Turbo. A G35 has nothing on a Supra Turbo.

 

i thought there are 3kinds of supras... non T, T, and TT.. we definitely take non T and we should be close with T but we can take them... TT is the only thing we can't touch... am I wrong?? correct me please...

 

a saturn with its 80HP can beat a non turboed supra, anyways G35 and Supra T would be close and Supra TT will be gone

 

Ok guys! From the factory, Toyota made a N/A supra and a TT supra. Any one with a Single T has done a custom job. Not to mention single turbos can spool much better on supras with the right tuning than most TT. Therfore, we have no chance against any supra with any turbo, but can...I've done it.... kill any N/A 5-speed/auto surpa. Maybe in the next year when I slap on TT kit for my Gcoupe I will reevaluate this question.

Hey nyc, you need to be a little more specific. I've owned MKII (1983), MKIII (1988), and a MKIV Supra (1996). The MKIV (1993-1998- I think that was the last year) had a non-turbo and twin-turbo model. A G35 could take the non-turbo easily. I believe those were only rated 220 hp. Now, on the twin, you would lose. Stock, 320hp, 315 lb torque. Some magazines got the Toy doing 4.6 sec. from 0-60 and in the 13s for the 1/4 mile.

My 88' had a single turbo. That you would have no problem with, unless it's modded. They were rated at 230 hp. and the 0-60 was somewhere near 6.8 - 7.0 seconds.

I beat a a T supra. Actually i won one and lost one. I won the first by a fender and lost one by a fender. IT was defiintly a turbo because i heard the spooling and blowoff. I believe the car was pretty much stock. There was no launching involved in both cars at the race and we raced for maybe 2-3 blocks.

 

The only way a G35 can take a supra turbo is if the driver of the supra sucks or he burned out the turbo. The last gen supra turbo is way out of the g35 league.

Stock G35C vs Stock TT Supra, the Supra will win hands down. I raced my friend's TT Supra for fun many times and lost pretty much everytime.

It would be a driver’s race with the G35C 6MT and a stock MK4 Supra TT with an AT, they do like 5.6 to 5.8s 0-60 stock, but most likely many owners Supra TT have been BPU’d. They are heavy cars though, but they are really bad azz and you don't see too many of them.

 

I think you can beat a stock turbo supra but not for long. IF you race for a short distance like i did without any of the cars launchiung you may pull it off because of the lag they get and we get speed off the line. Its also a drivers race. BTW: i think out cars weight more than the supras

 

jspec is right. Way back about 4 years ago I ran DX civic against a sweet looking supra. lol the supra only ran a 16 quarter mile. I saw him and another supra back in line. They were both Non turbo. That was the talk of the night.
