This makes no sense at all and im sure there is no proof to back it up.

Intakes are just a matter of preference.

I prefer Stillen due to soooo many positive reviews ive heard. It's also considered CAI even though its short ram.

I've got one with a Z tube and love it.

its all a matter of preference and a few extra hp difference if any. the z tube and k&n is the most inexpensive combo you can get that will give you that extra flow. if you really wanna pay $100-$200 more for an intake that gives you a few extra hp with louder sound and a cooler look, then go for it.

i have the z-tube and K&n filter right now and am debating the following:

(1) keep z-tube, buy stillen cai

or

(2) just get the injen cai

which do you guys recommend?

which has more hp gain if any?

Z-Tube & Stillen Air Box & Motordyne spacer & cat-back exhaust

Dropins are for those of us that are to lazy to clean those big K&N filters
every 3K miles. The Z-Tube is a more direct way for the air to reach your
intake without all the silencing stuff that Infiniti hangs on there tubes.
I like the Stillen air-box because it has a huge K&N filter and is installed so
you won't have issues with rain/water like several other systems on the
market. If you'll read what I wrote in the title section all those items
equal H.P., sound and excitement!

I don't think 2 or 3 horsepower is going to be felt in a car our size by the vast majority of us.
Ztube & pop charge sound pretty cool when hammered! Looks good under the hood too (little dusty)!

stock intake with K&N filter does...... not only is it cheaper, but it keeps the stock system which sucks in cold air... most intakes are design for looks only and it sucks in hot air from the engine area...

CAI are ok, but gets dirty real quick, has a tendancy to hydro lock the engine and cost more then a simple K&N filter... intakes are overpriced and doesnt yeid as much hp as you think they do... all they do is bling.

I agree it's pretty much bling..(both in looks and sound). I just admit it. Heck, I don't even see better gas mileage. Listening to the sound it makes sucking air doesn't help keep me from flooring it

^yah that is a nice intake to go with.. I was actually debating between that and the Injen Cai but from researching I found the Injen to fit my needs better

You wouldnt be going wrong with that though, honestly, intakes are just preference.
