Infiniti needs to step up to the plate...

For $hits and giggles I went to check out the new BMW 335i Coupe. All I can say is that the G35C is now out of the race. Although the one I test drove was a 6spd automatic, the car pulled hard and handled extremely well. I couldn't even tell it was turbo as there was no lag at all. The interior is 1000x better than the G, and the exterior styling is very attactive. The only thing that I did not like about the car was the feel of the steering. I think the 3 series has that electric control steering, not a direct steering column, and it reacts just a split second too slow. For example, after doing a quick lane change and after I had returned the wheel to dead center, the car was still drifting to the correct lane position. A bit unnerving to say the least. The only other thing that I did not like was the pricing. Holy cow, $45,700 for a car set up with the options I liked. That's a bit too much for a 3 series in my opinion. I'd take a lot of other used cars out there over a new bimmer for that price. I also sat in a new Z4 Coupe. If anyone here thought a 350Z was small, the Z4 was actually claustrophobic feeling. So pass on that.

I like my G35C, but BMW really upped the ante and the new G Coupe better out swinging for a homer.

Have you seen the new 2008 G35 Coupe coming this spring? Look at the interior of a new 2007 G35 Sedan and you'll get some idea of how the interior will look in the new G35 Coupe. I think the new G35 coupe will put Infiniti back in the race in a big way.

For $8-10 K more than a G, I hope you're getting something more.

You are absolutely correct. I can afford it, but isn't the 3 series supposed to be the entry level car in BMW's line up.

from someone who also has the Z4 M roadster..it is not clausterphobic, you can adjust the seats way more than the G. Also I'm 6' tall, so if you are taller than that, maybe it can be small.

A friend of mine just bought a new 335 coupe. He paid under $42K on the government's overseas sales program. The car is worth every penny. This is the first car BMW has ever made that I would consider owning. Near M3 level performance for thousands less.

I can't understand why BMW would make this car...LOL...M3 sales are going to be harder to come by in the wake of this release.

Umm yes he's serious. Just because its TT doesnt mean its faster than the M3. Guess what homeboy, the M3 is STILL faster, naturally aspirated.
