I was backing out of my garage and it was a tight squeeze I was doing less than 2 mph and I scraped the front of my car on the garage door track. How much do you think this will cost me to fix?

Sorry to hear this.

My guess from similar incidents is that it could cost you from a few hundred bucks up to 1000 dollars... depending on where you go.

I would ask for some quotes from any local repair shops asap if I were you.

i would say ..depends on wat u want...buy a new fender? or repair the old one...that will be price difference...anyway u must have to repaint the whole fender....if i take this to my bodyshop..might get a quote for range of $500 with a brand new fender

Do you think the whole fender needs to be repainted?

You shouldn't have to paint anything other than the fender unless you're dealing with a bodyshop by inferior paints. Take your car to a reputible shop that has a lifetime warranty. They'll bang it out, no need to replace. I wouldn't go through your insurance because #1. Your deductible's probably close to the cost of fixing it, and #2. You'll want to avoid any negative remarks on your carfax.

If they want to charge you any more then 250 to unwrinkle the fender it's cheaper to get a replacement one.
