I second that, I did too. No regrets.

 

ohh, 04 caught up with 05, but 06 is still going strong. If only my car was put together, you will all be jealous.

 

I say 06. The upgrade I like the most is the intelligent key. Forget about all the rest. I would say 06 no matter what year I had for that specific reason alone. I love the keyless entry, and everything else is just extra stuff that I also love. Only thing I dont like about the 06 is its spoiler. Thats why i got the 05 one,lol. I love evrything else about my car.

 

Ohh, and one more reason why I chose the 06 as the best one. It was the newest one when I bought it.

 

I dunno. I actually like not having all the techno "goodies". It makes the car feel more like a sports car than a luxury coupe. I have navi and XM on a 6 speed and that's good enough for me.

Every year past 04 just got heavier anyways.

 

06 for sure no questions asked!

PROS: LSD, quick ratio rack and pinion, memory seats and 1 touch fold up seats, Blue tooth, more horsepower and RPMS, nicer interior,The headlights, Trunk button, Rear active steer, The most important thing is the pad on the door pannel for your elbow....

CONS: spolier (I put a 05 on mine), Brembos (but cmon they are upgraded factory brakes just a promo deal with brembo. Put those up aginst the ceapest brembo kit and it will blow yours away. They do look good though.) Rear active steer (mostly because you can't turn it off...) Torque, but it so little and I would not give up a wider and stronger powerband for usless torque..(only good for city driving and gas milage) .if you think that your brakes and that little bit of torque makes up for all that YOU ARE IN DENIAL!!!

 

denial. and 04s have LSD. I would hope the seat isnt so slow to fold up tho.

 

I LOVE THEM ALL...and you can argue pros/cons for all of them...Ideally...we would probably be most happiest with a hybrid version of all years...ex/ 04 torque, 06 projectors, 05+ rev-up, 03/04 brembos, etc... we should start a new thread about Best Hybrid Combination of OEM Parts from All Years for a G35 Coupe...lol. That would be interesting

 

exactly how much is the difference in torque between the 06 and the 04? sorry to revive a dead thread....i'm a newb

I like 05 the best...

 

Assuming both are MT, the '06 has 258 ft. lbs. of torque and the '04 has 270 ft. lbs. of torque. It's a minor difference but I kind if wish I had the '04 for that reason (I have an 06 MT).

Honestly the brembos do nothing for me, if i was that concerned about brakes, and tracking my car all the time maybe....but then again if i did that id prob buy a better BBK, so the brakes and the torque alone arent enough for me to choos it over the 06

 

6MT. so basically the difference between the 05 and the 06 is the wing, headlights, bluetooth, bumper, and other slight interior changes right? other than that, the engine/drivetrain/suspension is the same right?

hmm...have you driven the '04? is the difference really that noticable??

 

oh also i HATE where the clock is in the 03-04, that was the main reason i didnt even look at them
