Question about oil change

I am due for my oil change this week (3 months since last change at Infiniti) but I have over 1400 miles left before I reach the next interval. Should I wait for the mileage to hit or do I go in now?

My miles have gone down since I have started taking public transportation so I drive around 5 miles a day now. What should I do?

Don't wait, go now. Unless you drive a lot of highway miles where the engine gets good and hot everyday, you need to change by date. You build up acids and water and crap in the crank case that is not burned off in a high speed drive.

I change mine every ~3000 - 3500... I dont think you need to go in timewise... I go by mileage..
Also, Infiniti will kill you on price.. I just called about a oil change cuz my car was there and they wants 50 bucks to do oil.

Go to autozone, and buy the filter/oil and do it yourself OR just take it to a shop... no need to take to dealer for something so simple like an oil change.

my 2 cents.
