To me Manual is > than Automatic, and like to most other true car enthusiasts, it is not just because it's faster. Automatics did get much better as technology improved, but even though every time I get a loaner, I get reminded why I love manual. Just my .02.

wow....you'd think with increasing numbers of members we will rise as a community in knowledge. Nope. Newbies should not be allowed to post until they go through every single thread that have already been beaten to death. And to start something like this should be equivalent to another dead white girl in OJ's house.

haha, you don't need to go to a driving school to get better kiddo. More than likely none of us here, or only very few, have and we are doing ok (besides you guys who are only getting 30k miles out of your clutches). There are quite a few cars that the AT is faster. The auto supra is significantly faster than the 6mt ones. Don't take offense do to your driving insecurities. If you truly feel that you suck you should either go for more drives, or turn in your g for a honda and learn how to really drive. it's not just the feel that you gain from driving a mt, it's also the instantaneous response that you get. If you look at the mt and at cars and their track numbers you'll see what i mean. I have an at, but I am soooo hating the lag between the transmission's reponse to me suddenly flooring it, and knowing how it should react from my previous cars.

we all know this and none of us care. The altima will be like a babby our generation 350z, but won't even come close to either the sedan G or the new coupe. And no we can't beat m3's and sti's any day of the week (whether it's our g or the new stupid altima).

I like the auto b/c i dont have to worry about shifting in stop go traffic. However i miss it when i feel the urge to waste gas for no real reason. The lag effect in the auto sucks but when you learn how to adjust to it things are better. With that said, in my type of driving auto is fine. I've said it many times i'll leave shifting to my streetbike!

This is a Manual...Supras with build Autos are consistant in time. Lack of shifting errors. They just hold the car straight and launch the car correctly... I have to give this guy props for his supra and skills. People say manual is better but it depends on the driver but AT are getting a lot better so manuals will not be better in reaction times...The CV transmission went head to head with a manual and beat it every single time. I can't find the video but it was interesting...I enjoy just driving the can and shifting so i just like a manual because i have control. My 2 cents...

I hope you noticed that he [06BLACKMT] was being sarcastic, because my dog even noticed .

That's what I use to say until I learned MT... never going back to auto.

I really hate to see the usual excuses such as:

"Theres too much traffic around"

I live in Los Angeles, and trust me, it's statistically the city with the most traffic

"I got a chick in the car that wants to ___________"

Another lame excuse.

No offense ofcourse
.
