Below I outline the gearing differences between the two cars. Note that the Altima SE-R also has less horsepower and torque than any G to begin with. Also note that green = better.

Code:
Transmission Gear Ratios For Cars:
06 Altima SE-R	04 G35C 6mt
1	3.153	3.794
2	1.944	2.324
3	1.392	1.624
4	1.055	1.271
5	0.809	1
6	0.63	0.8
F/D: 3.002 3.357

Effective Gearing (Torque multiplication):
1	9.465306	12.736458
2	5.835888	7.801668
3	4.178784	5.451768
4	3.16711 4.266747
5	2.428618	3.357
6	1.89126 2.6856

closeness ratio, (lower=closer=shifts put you into higher rpm)
1-2	1.62191358	1.63253012
2-3	1.396551724	1.431034483
3-4	1.31943128	1.277734068
4-5	1.30407911	1.271
5-6	1.284126984	1.25

I think the numbers above speak for themselves... I did this analysis a while ago to help explain what I was seeing between my G and my cousin's SE-R...

ive raced a couple se rs and its a drivers race the cars are equal, maybe a small edge to the altima. but if he beats you in a race, hes faster and if you win, youre faster. all the posting in the world about whos faster wont put you ahead in a race.

there is really no such thing as a drivers race with autos....if you were to take equal drivers...1 with a 5AT G and 1 with a 5AT SE-R the G would win....simple enough

Yeah, it would be extremely close not by even a half second probably. The G is simply faster not by much at all, but it is faster...

The only reason i asked a very simple question is that my friend just bougth a SER and i has like 100 miles and he wont race me till it breaks a 1000 miles and i know the best way to find out is to go race and once he is ready we will and i will find out for mysef ... I just wanted to hear some opinions on this in the mean time

Honestly I have a 06 g35 sedan all it has is the sports suspension and I pull away from a Altima every time especially after 60 mph with a stock intake no mods
