You'll need to have a shop fabricate a short extender if you go with the Nismo since it is made to fit the Z. Also, some have said the Nismo doesn't hang even.

Two different exhausts so its apples to oranges, Stillen true Dual, Nismo single. If your FI then dual, if NA, single, so you keep the torque. My preferance, well I'm running Nismo...lover the sound, keep my warrenty, easier upkeep.

Stillen....like people have said. Less extra work to have a shop fabricate the extensions...less headaches. The Stillen goes right in from what i have heard, and it sounds real nice like you said. I heard a Stillen one time, and it sounded really good. Not too loud and obnoxious, real deep, and retained the stockish exhaust note. In the comparo in the Sport Magazine, the Stillen made more power than the Nismo, but the Nismo came in second. The Stillen actually made the most torque, even though it was a true dual...with the Brola true dual coming in second in torque (another true dual). So for those that say you LOSE torque by going to a true dual set up, you are misinformed...

hmmm, that is news to me, if true, I stand corrected but I would love to see the numbers on it. As a general rule, the more free flowing the exhaust, the less back pressure, thus the reduction in torque (within reason). That being said, I could see how if one could see enough of a performance gain from the exhaust it may compensate.

Look up the Fall 2004 issue of Sport Magazine.....

They did a comparo between the Stillen, Borla, Nismo, and a few others that were insignificant to me.....

The Stillen won overall torque and horsepower to the wheels, the Nismo did decent in both areas, but not as well as the Stillen, and the Borla gained a bit of torque (less than 2f/lbs) and about 9rwhp.....

I have the Stillen and I'm very pleased. Not sure if there was really any power increase, though I had the kit installed only a few weeks after buying the car.

I haven't driven a G with the Nismo. I would have liked to take a ride in a Nismo and Fast Intentions equipped G, just didn't have the chance.
I've had exhaust setups on various cars. The Stillen is a nice kit out of the box, if a bit on the pricey side.

Arn't fujitsubo & nismo one and the same? My muffler guy said that he put a nismo on a Z, was great quiality, but that nismo only made ones to fit the Z. However, he said that fujitsubo was the ones that made the nismo, and they were the ones to go to for the G. Ordered it in, including Y-pipe, took him all of 45 minutes to get it installed, and said it fit perfectly. Sounds beautiful, same tone as stock only deeper, no drone at all, only thing don't like about it is the tips--a bit big, and I liked the smaller rolled ends and angle cut of the original.
