wrong section...post in regional or in audio/video section...anyways, if you are looking to get your double din installed it's around that price...

parts cost would amount to:
-navi unit, depends which one..for example the D2 = $700
-double din faceplate, not sure on this one = $50-100?
-HVAC unit, if needed for newer models = $250

labor costs alone:
seriously, shops can do it for $100-$200 range, some cheaper some higher, some better installs, some wacky

if i were you, i would research and muster up the courage to DIY. it's not that hard really. i installed the D2 in my rsx and it took me 1 hour and i don't have a strong electrical background.

Are you cheap? Honestly that is the price it cost. I bet if you install it yourself it will be a lot cheaper

Very insightful answer

I was quoted $175 for a Z1 install which included the resoldering of the dual climate on the AC controller. I'd rather pay a little extra to get it done by someone who knows what they are doing. I learned my lesson when I had a buddy install a D1 in my 03 Maxima. Took 14 hours, scratched up my center console. But hey, it was cheaper than a pro install.

im all for if you can DIY and if the labor is worth a DIY. not because of being cheap because i have no problem paying someone to do it for me, but i rather turn it into a learning experience and know more about my car inside and out. and you also obtain new knowledge that might help with future similar projects.

the helm's manual is a bible!

Honestly pull your car apart. I guess it's nice to know the car on a more intimate level.
