Thought for best HP/ TQ gains without negating warranty?
Hi all,
I'm very new to this amazing site and this is my first post. I just bought my 05 coupe 6MT (9500miles). I just want to know what people's thoughts are as to what performance mods would be best without negating (cancelling) the warranty. I hope to do FI in the future (I miss my r32 GTR [wife hated it]) but for now just want to know what i can do and what brands are best.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

congrats on your purchase. that's pretty low mileage. I have an 05 6mt coupe with about 18k miles. to answer your question, i don't think you can get that much hp without voiding your warranty. technically your warranty is void when the modification you made directly causes the failure. having said that, i think the motordyne MREV2 is the mod you are looking for. google it and search it on here. if you have questions you can contact them directly since there are a lot of threads trying to discern the differences between all the packages they offer. the gains are better than any other NA single mod i think. browse around and you'll learn a lot about intake, exhaust, headers, hi-flow cats, etc... good luck and welcome to the forums.

Approach mods carefully, and unless it's a factory approved change, I would avoid mods that can not be backed out fairly easily.

http://www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?ID=8124 <<<Good advice and see Attachment 'A' for synopsis of law. Also talks about C.A.R.B. approved mods.
Some dealers are mod friendly and some are not. Fortunately, mine is.

Thank you for all of your replies. Just tried searching. There's ton's of info, thanks. I got some access to a local airport's spare pavement space and went for a rip. Although it doesn't match my old gtr (had TO4 turbo) it still rips very well for stock. I'll look into the MREV2 and plenum spacers, as well as Stillen stage 2 SC (i wish it was turbo). Thanks a bunch.
