Everyone Who has a manual transmission.....

If he means shifting w/o depressing the clutch, then yes, it can be done but trust me, you don't want to do it. I did it plenty of times on my Maxima and yes, it wasn't hard as long as you rev-match it. Now, that being said, I had the shifting fork break on my Maxima probably from doing this way too many times. Just some food for thought...

I can do it without a problem from 3rd to 4rth. Don't try this if u dont know what u are doing. If u take 3rd gear to about 2800rpm and the starting pushing the stick down with ur finger it should easily go into 4rth without a problem. If one finger can not do the job then u are not doing it right.

actually it doesnt hurt the transmission if u do it at the right rpms, plus it saves the clutch... my dad though me it
as far as i know most people when shifting they have their foot on the gas pedal while shifting...
but when floating, u take the foot of the gas and as u takin it off the gas u take it out of gear at the same time, if its doe correctly it goes out and in like butter... but you never done it, dont try it cuz u can easy mess yer tranny up.. i just wasnt sure how many ppl do it that way, cuz my dad though me shift manual that way i been doing it for years
