G35 coupe for a daily?

Hey guys, Im really looking into picking up a 6mt coupe for a daily. Do they make nice reliable daily drivers as long as you keep up onthe maintence? I have a 92 S13 coupe thats basiclly bullitproof and a single turbo FD thats quite the opposite. Im looking for something virtually trouble free, not looking to mod the G at all other than some works and some mild coilovers. So would you guys say these cars are good for going to work and back and using as a run around car?

Had mine for over a year and havent had any problems... and I drive the hell out of it. Seem to be pretty good cars as long as you maintain them. My last daily driver was a ford expedition, and I had problems with that thing almost right away.

BTW, I have an 89 s13 too... fun, inexpensive car to mod (compared to the G)!

Talking great daily driver

I've had my 5AT for a bit more than a year now and it makes great daily driver considering its reliability and fun to drive. I've kept up all my minor and major services on time, so till today, it hasn't given me one single prob.

The car is very easy to live with and that's what they are made for. It's not like the G35 is going to be a collectors item, and it's certianly not an exotic.

I can't think of a performance car that is more reliable than a G35, so it's an outsatnding daily driver that requires almost no maintenance. If you look at what they do at the various maintenance intervals, aside from the oil & filter change it's 90% checks.

The G is my only car and I drive it 70 miles round trip to/from work. No problems what so ever. I have only had it for 6500 miles so far, but only visits to Dealership have been for oil changes.

My previous car was a 99 Maxima, which also served its purpose very well.

Why wouldnt the G35 be considered a good daily. Is there something special about this car?

The G35 coupe will be nothing like your FD, trust me. My Coupe has accepted every mod I've thrown at it without complaints.

Um, probably 95% of G owners use their cars daily.
