I was under the impression that the use of real aluminum didn't come about until the 05 model year.

I HAVE AN 06 WITH NO SPORT PACKAGE AND IT CAME WITH OEM 17s!!!!!!
ALL 06 6MT'S come with sport package...
06 5at do not come with sport package but its an option
notice this is a HARDTOP which is very uncommon.
it's an 06 5at hardtop BASE model which means it comes with oem 17s
i know because i have an 06 hardtop base model with oem 17s

03-07 base coupe automatic models come with 6 spoke 17's. 7 spoke 18's are part of the performance wheel and tire package. 5 (double) spoke 19's are part of the sport-tuned suspension package.
just build a base auto coupe at infiniti.com and you will see. the wheels in the ebay auction could have came with the car. both coupes are automatics.
i'm not sure about the sedan wheels. maybe a sedan owner can add.

Base model= automatic with 17" rims
Sport model= automatic with 18" rims
6mt model= manual with 19" rims
And yes, this goes for the 2006 model too. I bought an '06 and still have the brochure for it. So there's your answer.
