which tires and why

hey guys, Ill be getting my GT-S roughly the second week of Jan. Of course, like most people, Ill be doing the T1-r's but Ive been considering the Michelin pilot sport PS2's. Are they just two tires in completely different classes?
(ie: bargain tires vs quality tires $$$)

Ill be doing the 245/35-275/35 combo. (dont want to do the 255/285, tires look too meaty) and I also like the whole look of tire with a large curb/ rim protector. (I like how theres a seperation between the tire and the wheel).

sooo...which one?! help

put a pair from one set on the front, and a pair from the other set in the rear. Heck, live a little, and put different sizes on all the wheels!

ok ok, i have no idea, but the people in the tires/wheels forum might. just a guess, though.

ps2 is a far superior tire in dry handling.

the t1r is hte biggest pos tire ive ever had. sucks on dry and sucks on wet. the t1s was a much better tire. i currently have the bridgestone re050a pole positions they are an excellent tire as well.

spend the money and get the ps2
the kdw is also a good tire

i like my bridgestones but they have a treadwear os 140 so they arent goin to last that long.
the ps2 i think is somewhere around that area as well.
the kdw has a rating of 300 i believe

My toyo T1R's are good tires in both dry and wet, so I am not sure what the issue is. They are not a super performance tire like a GS-D3, but are a good fit for the sedan. My PS2's started to slide in the wet around 60-70% wear, kinda scary around turns.

thats size depending.
19" ps2 are really expensive
18" ps2 arent that bad

but seeing that he has 19s in his sig means that his will be a little more
def worth it though

Toyos are a nice inexpensive tire, not even comparable to the ps2.

Tires

Have has PS2, KDW, and now the Dicount Yoko 520's. The PS2 are very good, but oly lasted at 13K on the rear. KDW not quite as good, but better in the wet, rears lasted about 15K. Now have the 520's - have a musch higher wear index, very good in wet, but clearly not that good in dry weather. All boils down to choices, poor wear or performance...

YEP... I should know... I have them

I love the PS2's. They h andle amazing. I am around 70% left and they are still handling good. They also give me a GOOD amount of rubber with accounts for more weight but saves money when hitting big bumps.

I have never owned Toyos but have always heard good things about them,a slo.

I stand by Michelin
