Biggest HP increases??

I searched and searched and i couldn't see that anyone has posted this so here goes. What mods can I make to my 04 g35 6mt coupe to gain the most HP. If it helps I drive it year round unless there's snow or salt on the road. I drive it a lot. In the month of December I put about 900 miles on it. I love it and i want it to last. I would hate to reduce the life of the engine. I've been wanting to upgrade my engine for a while but in the past week I was made to look like a schoolgirl on a tricycle by a 335i and a charger SRT/8. I would rather keep up or maybe even possibly win. Am I dreaming? And if not how can I make it happen?

P.S. I have some experience with cars. I'm not a God, I know how they work and sorta how to fix them. My dad is the one who knows just about eveything but we arent mechanical engineers so the mods could hopefully be done by someone with a fair amount of experience but not be limited to technicians at roush racing.

FI is prolly your best bet..But going FI will most likely reduce your engine life, but Im not expert..Good Luck

You'll spend a lot on basic mods like CAI, Exhaust, Headers, intake, spacer and gain only a few HP. Most of those are done to modify the sound of the engine and exhaust. About the only way to gain HP is through FI (turbo/supercharger). You could keep it NA by adding cams, ECU, etc. but they'll be $$$$ and you'll need a shop to install/tune them.

no shame in getting walked by an SRT8, that's a 425hp car versus your 280hp...even with the add'l weight that's still a big difference.

If that's what you want, you're gonna need to go FI like the others have already said.

I figured that but i posted a thread about what was the best turbo and everyone said I'd need to do a lot to build up my engine to handle FI. So roughly what would I need to do to strengthen my engine.
