Engine about to die at startup

I actually just had this happen to me a few days ago. I started my car up and it turned over. After 2-3 seconds the car just died in idle. I was like WTF!?
Has this happened to you before? I have a 2004 G35 Coupe with 55K Miles.. Im getting worried too.
Are there write ups for cleaning all those parts. Ive only seen the walkthrough for cleaning the throttle body on infinitihelp.

i would like to see a write up too. i've had this happen to my 03 coupe. i would leave it alone for a bit and then it would start up again later. i can never show anyone because i never know when it's gonna happen. it's been a year or so now since the last time it's happened to me but i should probably clean my throttle body and some other parts.

Sounds like WTFitsJUICE and Gs Us have dirty/malfunctioning MAF sensor.
You guys dont have aftermarket oiled air filters do you? Those oils can mess up the MAF pretty easily.
I had this happen on my 2003 G in 2007.
When your engine is cool, its starts fine.
Once the car has warmed up and you turn off the engine and turn it back on before it cools down, the RPM would up like a usual start and then drop to 400, 300, 200 until you stall out.
the only way to get keep your engine on when this occurs is to blip the throttle before it stalls out and it will stay on.
