window tints

hey guys,

Im looking to get my car tinted at about 20% at the end of winter but im now wondering about inspection..

for those of you that have tints in the states where it is illegal..what do you do about inspection, do you get passed, etc?

any help would be great

doesn't sound like anything a 20 or 50 spot(depending on the inspector's day/mood) can't handle

Tinting..............

Since I live in S. Ca. I'm not aware of the laws in your state. I suggest you
check with someone like Department of Motor Vehicles if it's legal. We just
have smog police and there only interested in emitions and taking our $!
Hey, call a donut shop and ask a cop.........haha

dont do it if you dont have anyone to inspect it for you...fair warning...i learned the hard way.,but ended up finding someone to pass it for me..it was a bitch...

Front Side Windows No tint can be applied legally to this window.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.

for New hampshire.

that is another route i have seen people get away with (light sensitivity issues)...problem is finding a legit doctor

so lets see my options...

1)bribe with donuts

2)bribe with money

3)find a friend who can inspect

4)get a fake doctors note


some good ideas forming here lol

hey now i never said anything about a fake doctors note.
i have a real one for about 3 years now and had to go fight my first tint ticket last week. gave it to the judge and he said ok have a nice day and drive safe out there.

What kind of inspections are you guys talking about? We don't have those kinds of things unless your car received a fix-it ticket.

btw...about the doctor's notes. Read the entire vehicle penal code under tints. Yea it says with a doctor's note, you're allowed to have a tinting device but ONLY during daylight, not night. So that means one of these:
