There is really no differences between an auto and 6mt when driving in traffic... people with auto need to step on the brake, and let go of the brake, and step on the gas... then slam on the brakes and honk the horn. and then cuss and flick people off.
with the 6mt, we rarely use the brakes, and its basically, all automatic... It's really not as bas as u might think it is.. people with 6mt are also calmer people.

I got AT and I always drive on manual mode. And sometimes (very often) I have to switch to D cuz I got both of my hands busy. Got to steer with my leg, left hand hold the phone and right hand writing something down.
Sure 6mt is much more fun, but AT works just fine for me. I still goes 155mph (shhhhhhh)

As long as I have a working left leg I will always own a 6mt.

both of my cars are stick. I miss it now that I drive a SUV for winter. Auto is just boring!!

When it's in manual mode it acts just like 6mt.

For those who said AT drivers never own MT cars before, that's false.
i used to drive a integra type r, 5 speed MT, I almost cried every time i drove thru holland or lincoln tunnel in NYC due to traffic.
It's very simple, if you are using it for a commuter car, and know there will be traffic almost everyday, think twice before getting the MT, otherwise, MT would do just fine. on weekends or you don't live in a city like NYC.
Also I think it's just socially popular to think that driving an MT is cooler because a lot of Race cars are mostly MT. Otherwise, why would you ppl want to take extra steps to do the same thing? I thought technology was suppose to make ppl's live easier, and driving a stick is history.
