LOL my bad...i must've skipped this thread sorry

yes, just take it to a [reputable] stereo shop and they should be able to install it for you. i asked a local shop near me and they said they could do it as long as i got them the parts. i trust them because everyone i know goes to them and they do a clean job. so just make sure they know what theyre doing.

where are you located? if i were you, id hit up the regional forums and ask someone here on driver to help you out. maybe offer a 6 pack or something...

the labor price varies by area, but i think 300 labor? I amnot sure becuase i have not had it done yet, but did ask. But just ask them the cost to have it installed after they give you the price say you will supply all the equipment needed. There should be a flat rate though. Similar to puttin an amp or speakers in a car

but ok i just called senor stereo and asked how much it would be to install a double din and a pioneer avic-d1 he said $149....is that good? or a rip off? Also i researched a little but not enough to know if the pioneer avid d1 plays dvds also, or if its just an "DVD NAVIGATION system?..

Had a D1 installed in my Maxima. Pretty decent unit, but it WILL NOT play DVD's. It is only a DVD based navigation system. The D2 and D1 are almost identical except for the updated nav discs.

That is a very fair price IMO. One thing to check: IF you have dual climate and want to keep it, make sure the shop can solder that part unto the new climate control unit. They may charge a little extra to do that.
